Thank you very much for your following along with us until now. It’s the time to introduce the Purchase Order related business activities in StockControl.
StockControl is an intuitive, simple and full-featured inventory management solution. In this tutorial, you will know how to operate purchase orders and purchase receives in the system.
Contrary to sales related business, purchase activities is the inflow of assets, resources that are processed and finally for sales.

Create a Purchase Order
From the above screeshot window, obviously it’s very simple to create a purchase order:
- Select the company where you purchase items from the drop down options
- Select a carrier if you want to have it for this purchase order.
- Click Add Item to add the items you will purchase.
- Click Save.

Now we have successfully created a purchase order, we can view and print the purchase order. After the purchase order confirmed and approved, we can create purchase receives for it then.

Create a Purchase Receive
To create a purchase receive, we do:
- On the Received Record List Window, add an New Purchase Receive
- Select a purchase order for the receive
- Select a warehouse where the receives arrived.
- In the table section, enter the Qty to receive in the table’s Qty Column
- Click Save

Now the stock quantity will be updated to reflect the inventory quantity change, you can view the stock movement stats by clicking the inventory reports menu.
